About the Role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses to step up into an After Hours Manager role. If successful, you will be offered Permanent Part-time working 20 hours a fortnight across three 6.5-hour shifts, working Wednesday and Thursday one week and the following week a Thursday.
This position would suit a highly skilled Registered Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career. This role requires a high attention to detail and someone who is comfortable leading and managing the daily operations within a team.
The After Hours Nurse Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective leadership and management of the facility after business hours, ensuring positive patient outcomes and providing leadership and oversight to clinical areas outside business hours.
About You
To be successful in your application, you will have:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) relevant to the necessary scope of practice;
Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in a critical care environment;
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and PLS certification or willingness to obtain;
Knowledge and experience of the facility requirements and standards;
Prior comparable experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a healthcare environment;
Postgraduate qualifications in nursing Critical Care - ICU, CCU or ED;
Demonstrated analytical and report-writing skills;
Demonstrated leadership, human resource, and business skills.
