Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia.
The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania's largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.
It supports approximately 500 workers and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.
MMG has an office in Burnie, giving employees the flexibility to work from there when they are not required onsite.
Rosebery is located on Tasmania's west coast in close proximity to Strahan and a couple of hours drive from Burnie and Devonport. Rosebery offers exceptional outdoor experiences with fishing, canoeing, white water rafting, rock climbing and walking at your doorstep.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the newly created Advisor - Talent Acquisition & HR role will be accountable for ensuring that the MMG Rosebery Mine attracts, hires, and retains the best talent through the entire recruitment process, whilst providing general day to day support for the broader HR team.
With demonstrated experience within a mining (or related) environment, you will have well-developed skills and personal attributes, including the following:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable. Strong knowledge of the job market and available skills in Australia, along with great ability in finding, choosing, and connecting with potential job candidates. Knowledge of the HR value proposition Understanding of HR functions and responsibilities, along with insight into how recruitment integrates with and supports these elements. Sound understanding of recruitment legislation. Knowledge of the mining lifecycle and job families. Ability to foster relationships and collaborate closely with varying hiring managers. This is a great career opportunity for a motivated Talent Acquisition Professional who is looking to expand their capabilities within a supportive team environment. 
This is a permanent position, ideally working a residential 5:2, 4:3 roster located in Rosebery or Burnie. Other considerations for DIDO from Tasmanian locations and flexible roster options may be considered.
Key responsibilities will include: Provide recruitment support and Australian Labour Market advice to hiring managers and the site HR team. Develop and implement a recruitment strategy that aligns to the HR and overall Business strategy. Review of recruitment requests from hiring managers, ensuring accurate position descriptions, confirmation of remuneration recommendation and level of work.  Provide training to hiring managers on MMG's recruitment processes, with emphasis on improving interviewing techniques and following the required protocols. Develop reports for hiring managers and site HR team on recruitment activities, candidate pipeline status, and hiring progress. Support the HR team in succession planning with emphasis on critical skills/hard to fill roles. Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for both blue- and white-collar vacancies. Collaborate with managers to evaluate employee performance during the probationary period. Oversee the probationary review process for new employees, ensuring probation reviews are conducted timely and feedback is documented and communicated effectively. Conduct exit interviews for departing employees to gather feedback on their employment experience. Develop and maintain proactive and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders, Site HR team, external stakeholders, candidates and recruitment industry networks.
