8 days on; 6 days off Roster – FIFO from Perth to the Roy Hill mine Be part of a technologically advanced mine site within a growing project Industry leading performance, retention, and profit share bonuses Fly with Qantas with access to frequent flyer points and status credits About the role Our Technical Services team is seeking an Advisor Hydrogeology  to join our Hydrogeology Operations group based at the Roy Hill mine site. Reporting to the Supervisor Hydrogeology, this role will assist the site-based Hydrogeology team in the planning and execution of drilling, test pumping, earthworks, and monitoring activities.
Water management and hydrogeology at Roy Hill is complex and challenging offering a destination for those looking to expand their knowledge and technical experience in the field of hydrogeology. Be exposed to dynamic dewatering challenges, large scale managed aquifer recharge schemes, confined aquifers, and a range of groundwater qualities.
Duties Develop and maintain the earthworks, drilling, and test pumping schedule Ensure required permits are obtained to enable drill pad preparation, access track clearing and earthworks Work with the environmental team on the release of ground disturbance permits (GDPs) Utilise SAP to manage the issue of purchase requisitions and orders for contractors, materials, consumables and instruments Oversee and maintain the storage of required materials, consumables and instruments Manage the installation and maintenance of logging and telemetry systems Skills and experience  Ability to work unsupervised in a remote mining environment Prior experience working in a field assistant role will be beneficial Experience supervising drilling and test pumping program contractors Experience with GIS software required – experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems for groundwater bores and VWPs beneficial Ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders  Mine Facilities Modern, comfortable camp accommodation High quality gourmet food options (vegan, gluten free and healthy options) Large fully equipped gym facility, as well as a gym specifically for females Heated outdoor swimming pool Beach Volleyball court and Golf simulators Village shop and extensive supporting amenities SWIFT in-room entertainment with comprehensive content and own-device casting capability Active social club with community events and activities for employees Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family About Roy Hill Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
