About Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp is a remote alpine centre and adventure camp located by Falls Creek, and managed by YMCA Discovery Camps. Catering to schools and groups year-round, the team at Howmans Gap run a variety of programs and activities to suit every group, from skiing and tobogganing in winter, to orienteering and mountain biking in summer. Featuring state-of-the-art accessible accommodation, cozy cottages, and full catering options, Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors, come snow or sunshine.
About the Role The Operations Director is a pivotal leadership role, involving leading and empowering the staff team to perform the safe and effective operations across the key areas of maintenance, program, catering and administration.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with client groups visiting our Camps through outstanding customer service is a significant aspect of this position. The Operations Director must show leadership and a commitment to maximize safety for all Y staff, volunteers, contractors, and patrons. The Operations Director must demonstrate skills and motivation to achieve multiple service outcomes across outdoor program, facility, and hospitality management.
This is a permanent, full-time role with an annual salary of $95,381 + Super.
