Want to be part of it?Utilise your administration expertise to provide support and advice to the  Adoption Operations branchOngoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceAbout Us:Adoption Services is part of the Civil and Enforcement Services Group of the Department of Justice and Community Safety.Adoption Services delivers a range of services under the Adoption Act 1984, including counselling to people considering placing a child for adoption, assessing people to be approved to adopt a child from Victoria or overseas, and providing records to people who have been affected by past adoptions.The Adoption Support Unit is instrumental in providing high quality administrative support to ensure these client services are delivered. Working within a small team, the Adoption Support Officer is responsible for data management, record searching and retrieval, and contributing to overall operational ease within multiple Adoption Services programs. Adaptability to new tasks, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively underpin success in this role.About the Role:The role of an Adoption Support Officer involves providing administrative and operational support to Adoption Services through data entry and record retrieval and assessing and processing a high volume of queries and applications.Some of your duties will include:Demonstrating a commitment to departmental values.Maintaining office supplies and procedures, such as mail distribution.Using a variety of IT systems to manage client and other data.
