About Specialist Consulting Specialist Consulting provides an extensive range of medical and surgical specialist clinics to consumers of Monash Health.
It is supported by multidisciplinary staff including allied health specialists, diagnostic services and interpreter services.
Monash Health currently operates 680+ specialist clinics located across 8 sites servicing Melbourne's large southeast catchment with a diverse and multicultural population.

About the Role The Administration Operations Manager (Specialist Consulting) is an exciting full time opportunity as the lead manager for the Dandenong and Casey Specialist Consulting clinics and the administration teams.
Whilst leading the administrative and clerical teams, your weekday will be surrounded by an established team of nurses, clinicians and medical workforce staff from a range of specialties.
This position is responsible for overseeing the administrative operational management of Specialist Consulting at these specific sites, with an exciting and ever growing service and clinical sites planned.
This position will drive and lead change to improve service delivery and efficiency.
The role of the operations manager positively contributes to the delivery of an exceptional patient experience, and which is in line with our organisation's strategic plan.
Using strong leadership skills, this role engages and partners with stakeholders from across the organisation to develop and implement change programs, new procedures and manage teams and responsibilities across multiple sites.
About You You are patient focused and aware of the needs of those in the community who require ongoing support and care outside of the inpatient setting.
You see the bigger picture for the clinic administrative team and have the ability to build rapport and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, adapting and modifying your approach with attention to detail.
You are able to plan and organise processes and recognise and act on opportunities for change and improvement.
You have clear verbal and written communication skills, managing interactions and customer service across the spectrum with program directors, unit heads, nursing and administrative staff at each of the sties.
You will have had had leadership experience and extensive outpatient / specialist clinic roles, are able to work across sites and manage a large clerical team who are running, scheduling and booking a large number of appointments daily.
You are able to work across multiple computer systems, including patient records, scheduling and referral management.
What you need: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline Extensive outpatient / specialist clinic experience with multiple care teams Evidence of leadership skills and management capability A drive to improve outcomes, enthusiam and ability to bring others with you on change journey Knowledge of the specialist consulting access policy and implementation at a local level You will be responsible for: Developing and operationally delivering the strategic direction for high quality care? Completing compliance and improvement against the key elements of quality and safety and the access policy? Audits of operational processes and financial efficiency of the administrative services across the multiple teams? Engaging with stakeholders (unit heads, heads of clinic) to lead and manage patient flow in clinic? Identifying, developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinic operations, ensuring exceptional patient experience? Managing the operational workload across clinics and ensure adequate resources exist? Introducing appropriate key performance indicators (KPI's) and benchmarking to monitor performance? Using innovative and appropriate methods of reporting to highlight risks and trends, and offer potential solutions to resolve complex matters? Providing an escalation pathway for staff and actively resolve queries or issues? Initiating and leading work practice changes with staff and employee representatives?
