James Nash State High School is seeking a permanent part time A03 Administration Officer to join our finance team.
As the Finance Officer, you will contribute to the effective and efficient management of the school by providing a high level of financial support and timely service to the school community.

James Nash State High School services the communities of Glenwood to the North, Kilkivan to the West, Amamoor to the South and Gympie to the East.

Set on the northern outskirts of Gympie, James Nash High was founded in 1977 and has a current enrolment of 1300 students expected to grow to nearly 1400 by 2025.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide a range of financial administrative activities and operations including data entry, maintenance of financial registers, computing and clerical support for the effective operations of the office, in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
Under the direction of the Business Manager, assist with regular budget reviews and provide program managers with budget and purchasing information.
Assist in the management of payment plans, Centerpay, school/college purchased time, and identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
Assist with the day-to-day management of the school's financial activities, including identifying problems, negotiating with program managers, conducting research, seeking advice and recommending solutions.
Accounts Receivable: Invoicing and receipting, tracking unpaid invoices.
Accounts Payable: Entering invoices, reconciling Corporate Cards.
Reception duties include attending to telephone and front counter enquiries, relaying messages and general customer service.
Other administration support as directed by Business Manager.
Suitability Criteria
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
Capacity to work with multiple people to both follow directions and work unsupervised.
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of school operations, standards and work processes.
Word processing and spreadsheet experience and the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of new systems.
One School and Day Map experience is highly desirable but not essential.
Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
This position is a Permanent Part-time role of 65 hours per fortnight or 0.9 FTE.
