As well as directly admitting over 500 acute stroke patients a year, The Alfred provides tertiary stroke services for endovascular and neurosurgical care for surrounding hospitals. There is a 24/7 thrombolysis and endovascular clot retrieval service. The department runs dedicated stroke outpatient clinics at both Alfred and Sandringham sites.
THE ROLE The department of stroke medicine is looking for a dedicated candidate to assist with clinical governance duties including data collection and reporting to the Australian Stroke Care Registry (AuSCR). The position holder will be expected to work 10 hours a week, and hours can be flexible throughout the week. The administrator will work closely with the consultant clinical team, Stroke Coordinator, stroke fellow and the Clinical Service Director.
