Description: This is a pool recruitment process (Ref 01035). This pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities (full and part time). Currently there are two (2) permanent positions available. The first position is full time at Forensic Divisional Office and the second position is part time (37.5 Hrs Per F/N) at Standards and Capability.
POSITION OBJECTIVE: These positions provide general secretarial, administrative, human resource and records management support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the division.
SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITE: It is a requirement of this position that the recommended applicants undertake a psychological assessment, and as incumbents, agree to undergo periodical psychological assessments, as required.

Organisational skills - Managing and prioritising own workload to meet deadlines. Organising diaries and meetings.Knowledge of administrative practices - Working in an office environment, responding to administrative requests efficiently and effectively and demonstrating a customer focus. Developing asset management plans and undertaking audits.Applicants are also required to submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV). Your CV should provide enough detail (dot points are sufficient) to allow the selection panel to assess your skills and experience relevant to the Key Accountabilities of the attached Position Description Form. The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant's ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.

Other Conditions: In addition to the above mentioned vacancies, a POOL is being created to fill future vacancies that may arise within the metropolitan area. This POOL will remain active for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial appointment. Applicants who are assessed as 'suitable' at the completion of this process, will be placed in the POOL and may be considered for future permanent and temporary vacancies as they become available.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for a position is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to these positions may be the responsibility of the successful applicants.
