ACT State Manager - Commercial / Government Fit Outs (Interiors) Iconic Market Leader - Commercial Furniture / Residential / Govt Fit Outs Hands on State Sales Leader Needed - Tier 1 Commercial & Govt Projects Contemporary Designer Furniture & Lighting The Client Our client is an established distributor of International & Australian designed and manufactured designer furniture and lighting products for the commercial and residential fit out market across Australia. They are highly regarded and respected and are seeking to employ a State Manager to oversee and drive their successful team in ACT.
The Role Your new role will be based from their Canberra office and will see you leading, driving, coaching and mentoring a small team. Your role will be a strategic and hands-on sales position, with your main focus on overseeing and driving the success of the team via their client base of commercial A&D, builders, developers, project managers, and various end-user customers including Government. You will be responsible for ensuring budgets and targets are met across the team while always looking at areas for improvement and increased revenue. Working closely with local and overseas suppliers, you will ensure the teams are knowledgeable in the product offering across all brands and will maintain a consistently high level of customer service. This position is part of the senior leadership team, and you will be instrumental in the continued company success.
Skills Required We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate the following skills:
Previous experience in a State / Sales management role within the high-end commercial furniture / interiors industry. OR Proven sales experience in furniture or fit-out projects and a desire to move into your first sales leadership role. Strong leadership experience / aptitude and ability to motivate a team and maintain a culture of success. Previous experience of selling premium brands associated with furniture and interior fit-out projects. Strong A&D sales exposure and experience working with local Government fit-outs. Solid commercial acumen with strong reporting skills. The starting salary package includes base salary, car allowance, and performance-based bonus - OTE 1st year $200K.
