With a dedicated team of over 3,000 individuals, their success is driven by compassion, integrity, and exceptional service.
Due to continued growth, they are expanding their Accounts Payable team and looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who can bring their expertise to this exciting role.
You'll work with a talented team and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient Accounts Payable processes.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee supplier payments, including EFT, BPAY, Direct Debits, and more.
Manage AP and invoice mailboxes, resolving any pending or disputed invoices.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
Maintain data integrity and verify expenditure approvals according to company policies.
Coordinate with Procurement for supplier setup and lead vendor management initiatives.
Prepare weekly cash forecasts, review supplier statements, and assist with month-end reporting.
Work closely with the Financial Systems Support team to resolve data issues and support month-end processes.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to AP processes for better efficiency.
Mentor junior staff, foster team development, and provide backup during absences.
About You: To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Experience in high-volume environments, ideally within shared services.
Strong knowledge of AP processes and accounting principles (e.g., GST, GL coding).
Advanced proficiency with ERP accounting systems (SAP and Basware advantageous) and Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
A passion for mentoring and supporting team development.
