Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator Limited – Newcastle NSW

The Opportunity An opening has become available for an experienced Accountant to join a reputable and dynamic organisation on a part-time basis, with option to work 4 days a week or 5 days at reduced hours.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
Month-end processing and preparation of financial statementsAd-hoc financial analysis and reportingBudgeting, forecasting and variance analysisStatutory compliance activities including FBT/BAS/Payroll TaxAssistance with development of annual reports and year-end auditReview of payroll and accounts payableAssistance with commercial activitiesAbout You: We encourage applications from people with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. Demonstrated experience in accounting and relevant degree qualificationStrong communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative shared services teamHigh attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlinesCommitment to continuous improvement and learningAdvanced excel skillsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Employment Hero will be useful, though not essentialWhat we offer you: As part of the team, you will have:
