MCS Civil is seeking a talented Accountant to join our team in our Rutherford, NSW office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounting and budgeting functions, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date.What you'll be doingPrepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reportsManage the company's accounts payable and receivable processesAssist with the preparation of the company's annual budget and monitor budget performanceProvide financial advice and support to management on strategic decisionsEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulationsContribute to the continuous improvement of the company's accounting and financial processesSupervision of dept staff and task allocationsWhat we're looking forDegree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CA qualificationMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar management accounting or financial control role, preferably within the construction industryStrong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in using Xero accounting software, with strong / advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft products.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhat we offerOpportunities for professional development and career advancementA supportive and collaborative team environment.About usMCS Civil is a leading construction company specialising in civil engineering projects across New South Wales.
