The organisation:
The IRO is an independent statutory office established under the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020. Jeffrey Gabriel is the Acting Independent Review Officer. The Officer is supported by an expert team.
The statutory functions of the IRO include to:
find solutions for persons injured at work or in motor vehicle accidents with complaints about their insurers.
manage and administer the Independent Legal Assistance and Review Service (ILARS)
conduct inquiries into matters arising in connection with the operation of the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020 and the workers' compensation and motor vehicle accident legislation.
About the role:
This role sits within the IRO Finance team and is responsible for providing financial and management accounting services, reports, advice, and support to management to enable well-informed business decisions to be made and ensure financial performance is consistent with best practice.
About you:
The successful applicant is a well-respected finance professional with experience in finance business partnering in a similar setting. You will also possess superior stakeholder management and leadership skills. You are a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and business intelligence tools as well as sophisticated communication skills. You have demonstrated systems experience including SAP. Above all, you have a proven track record of getting things done.
