We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a permanent full-time role with a well-established and highly reputable professional legal firm in Ipswich. With a rich history across the region, this is an opportunity to work with an industry leader.
The role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring accurate processing, reporting, and compliance across various accounts and financial activities, including:
Daily processing of financial and general account transactions, including electronic funds transfers, disbursements and bank reconciliations. Manage and process trust account daily transactions. Receipting payments from debtors (accounts receivable). Processing bills for payment (accounts payable). Maintain the general ledger, including updates and necessary adjustments. Maintain petty cash and reimburse petty cash for all offices. Preparing and entering budgets for various departments and projects. Performing end-of-month closing procedures, including reconciliations and reporting. Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS). Associated administration and accounts tasks as required. To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
Aligned bookkeeping experience (experience in trust accounts preferred but not essential) Confidence learning and using finance systems with sound skills in MS Office Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills Accurate keyboarding skills Availability to work full-time hours Monday to Friday This is an opportunity to join a highly reputable and professional firm in Ipswich.
