Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking an Administration Assistant.
In this role, you will provide administrative and office support to relevant supervisors and managers, ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant, and enquiries are handled appropriately.
To assist the facilities team with administrative duties which will assist the team to reach higher efficiencies.
In this busy role, you will support the organisation by:
Provide comprehensive, accurate and timely administrative support, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
Contributing to the research and compilation of documents, reports and submissions.
Arranging employees' travel, accommodation and attendance at events as per the appropriate policy.
Support end to end financial services for the department eg: raising purchase orders, requisitions etc.
Liaise with internal and external customers, ensuring queries are escalated appropriately, resolved in a timely fashion and customer expectations are managed.
Ensure records are accurate and filed appropriately.
Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and council.
Taking reasonable care for health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and co-operating with CHRC policy and procedure per 'Duties of Worker' contained in the Work Health and Safety Act as amended.
Additionally, this position may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the reporting coordinator and/or manager.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
Competency in a wide range of Microsoft programs.
Time management skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines/timeframes.
Record keeping capabilities, attention to detail and well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Above and beyond approach to teamwork, customer service and community support.
Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence.
