This role can be based anywhere within our South East Operational Footprint including Moruya, Bega, Goulburn, Jindabyne, Queanbeyan or surrounds.The Zone Substation Electrical Technician is responsible for construction and maintenance of Zone Substations, inspecting, testing, and reporting the nature and condition of network asset and the installation commissioning and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment.Key responsibilitiesConstruction and Maintenance of Zone SubstationsInstallation, commissioning and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipmentCarrying out switching operations associated with both high and low voltage Engineering ServicesInspecting, testing, and reporting nature and condition of Network assets to maintain quality standardsAccessing and using computerised systems to operate remote equipmentBe available and participate in stand by and after hours dutiesOperating plant and equipment associated with Zone Substations in a safe mannerAbout YouAs a Zone Substation Electrical Technician, you will be able to demonstrate practical application of the qualification for this role.
