safeSPACE delivers an integrated service offering, both universal and targeted programs to best support young people aged 10-18.WA PCYC is one of WA's leading youth organisations, working with the WA Police Force and the community for over 80 years.

Our programs and partnerships all centre around making a difference in a young person's life by creating opportunities to build capacity, life skills and self-empowerment.About the Role:The Youth Program Coordinator will be leading the development, delivery and evaluation of the safeSPACE program.
This role is responsible for: Planning programs, activities and workshops relevant to young peopleFacilitating the effective delivery of programs, activities and workshops relevant to young people in line with contractual obligationsCoordinating the evaluation of programs, activities and workshops relevant to young people utilising appropriate evaluation toolsDeveloping safe and effective workplace culture and providing leadership and direction to youth services staff and volunteersRepresenting PCYC within the local community and developing stakeholder relationshipsThe overall delivery and performance of safeSPACE including governance, risk management, financial management and complianceWhy join our team:Competitive remuneration – up to SCHADS level 4.1 based on experience and qualifications!Salary packaging - access to salary packaging arrangements through Access Pay which means up to $18,550 of your salary tax-free!(meaning more take home income after tax)Values-driven organisation- supportive and inclusive culture that encourages you to be bold, big-hearted and successfulAccess to exclusive discounts and vouchers- this includes leading retailers such as Woolworths, Amazon, Hoyts and moreFlexible work and leave arrangements - we understand the need for work-life balance and happy to discuss arrangements that would suit the needs of you and the teamCareer development opportunities - we believe in our team and we continue to provide ongoing training and support to help you reach your goalsEmployee Assistance Program - free, confidential and independent EAP, including free access to physical, mental and financial online support.About you:A qualification in Youth/Community work (Diploma or above is highly desirable) or related area such as social work, psychology, behavioural science and/or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering and evaluating youth programsAbility to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, including their families.Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and have a good understanding of the issues facing First Nations peoplePassionate about re-engaging young people through building positive professional relationships and utilising a strengths based, person centered, trauma aware, solutions focused approachAbility to practice to the standards of WA Youth Work Code of EthicsDemonstrated leadership experience, knowledge and skillsPossess or willing to obtain National Police Clearance, Working with Children and drivers licenseIf this sounds like something you would like to be part of, apply now!
