Salary packaging - ADOs - Novated Leasing This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (pro-rata part-time/temporary positions less than 18 months), and a recurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (pro-rata part time), under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.
To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a recurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).

What you'll be doing Responsible for bringing together aspects of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Adult Mental Health Services, Health Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention strategies and the Rehabilitation and Partnerships project to establish services that cater for the needs of young people (14-25) who have or are at risk of developing mental health problems or disorders.
The aim is to provide an integrated service to improve early detection and access to a range of services such as mental health, GPs, Drug and Alcohol and links to social, recreational and vocational support. It provides leadership to ensure FWLHD provides a Youth Mental Health Service that follows the principles of the NSW Youth Mental Health model that is appropriate to rural, youth, families, communities and service providers.

How to apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA or qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership with the AASW.Demonstrated clinical problem solving skills and ability to work with complex presentations as an independent practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Understanding of and experience in the provision of mental health and drug and alcohol assessment and provision of evidence based therapeutic interventions for youth.Demonstrated high level of organisation, written and verbal communication skills alongside computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge of quality improvement and evidence based practices.Demonstrated ability to work in a manner that engenders mutual respect in a cross cultural environment.Current NSW Class C Driver's License with the ability to drive for work purposes.At Far West Local Health District we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, where we don't just accept differences, but we honour and support it.
