We are seeking a dynamic Networks Analyst / Administrator to join our client's team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of operational networks, particularly focusing on SCADA and OT networks.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge network and telemetry operations within a Utilities environment. The role is based in Wokingham with 3 days per week expected onsite.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary liaison for business services, including project coordination and service transition.Oversee all resources, including third-party service providers, to ensure efficient operational management and control of CNI SCADA and CNI networks, prioritizing resilience, safety, and security.Ensure outsourced services and partnerships meet high standards of delivery.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess network changes' potential impacts on operational safety and control.Work closely with Audit, Security, and governmental organizations to maintain compliance with critical CNI network policies and standards.Lead incident management efforts on CNI networks, conducting root cause analyses to prevent recurrence and ensure rapid recovery.Manage annual budgets and track expenditures against approved plans, with a focus on disaster recovery planning and testing.Interpret and adhere to security and regulatory requirements affecting operational networks.Essential Skills Experience: Proven operational experience with IP/MPLS/Ethernet/SDH networks, preferably in a Utilities context.Strong ability to manage resources effectively for optimal network and telemetry operations.Experience overseeing outsourced services in an ITIL environment, with a track record of setting direction and standards in operational network environments.Comprehensive knowledge of network, telemetry, and SCADA infrastructure technologies, including network monitoring tools and fault diagnosis.Experience managing critical incidents outside regular hours, including participation in on-call rotations.Ability to obtain SC security vetting clearance.Degree-level education in computing, engineering, or a related field.Excellent stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.Capability to mentor junior staff and provide guidance on work packages.Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions under tight deadlines.Strong multitasking abilities without compromising quality.Experience working both independently and collaboratively in high-performing teams within an Infrastructure/Application ITIL support environment.Understanding of business-critical real-time systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred: Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL Practitioner, CCNA/DA, CCNP, or Security would be advantageous.Salary:
