Role Overview: This Federal Government client is seeking multiple skilled Test Automation Specialists to define and develop a comprehensive Test Automation framework and automate manual testing tasks across various projects.
The ideal candidate will leverage tools like Selenium, Appium, Specflow, Protractor/Karma, Cucumber, and related automation frameworks, while utilizing programming skills in .Net (preferably C#), SQL, XML, and BDD Framework.
Job Responsibilities: Contribute towards defining a Test Automation framework and automating manual testing tasks across all projects within the Department.Apply technical expertise in automated test tools and related technologies (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Specflow, Protractor/Karma, Cucumber, and automation framework) to develop automated test suites.Utilize practical programming experience in .Net (preferably C#), SQL, XML, and package management (e.g., nuget, npm).Identify and automate manual test cases as necessary.Take ownership, plan, and execute both functional and non-functional tests within agreed timeframes.Implement and manage continuous automated testing integration using Microsoft tools, with Azure DevOps experience being highly desirable.Adhere to the Department's system development methodologies in all test activities.Develop a sound business understanding to ensure tests are defined and developed with close alignment to the business use of the system.Extend and enhance the System documentation repository, covering new or changed system functionality.Communicate testing outcomes clearly and succinctly in a test closure report.Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.Proactively participate in Agile events (sprint planning, demos, reviews, daily stand-ups).To be successful, you will have: Proven experience in test automation and framework development.Strong technical skills in relevant automated test tools and technologies.Proficiency in programming with .Net (C# preferred), SQL, XML, and package management.Experience with mobile test automation, particularly using Appium.Familiarity with continuous automated testing integration using Microsoft tools.Full familiarity with automation test (QA) lifecycle, including writing Test Cases, integrating automation solutions into the delivery pipeline, and proficiency with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.Experience in Agile methodologies and participation in Agile events.Next Steps: Send us your most up to date resume along with authority for exclusive representation.Let us know if you prefer to be a Permanent Employee or Contractor.Include security clearance details (CSID Number, Level and Expiry)Include contact details of 2 referees.Advise of your notice period/availability.Upcoming leave dates (exceeding 1 week). #J-18808-Ljbffr
