Yard Supervisor

Job Summary: As the Yard Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the yard, ensuring efficient management of plant and equipment. You will leverage your mechanical expertise to maintain and repair yard equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: Yard Operations Management:Oversee day-to-day yard operations, including equipment handling, material storage, and inventory management.Ensure the yard is organized and complies with safety regulations and operational standards.Mechanical Oversight:Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform regular maintenance and repairs on yard equipment and machinery.Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance.Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition and compliant with relevant regulations.Inventory and Resource Management:Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are available for yard operations.Qualifications: Education and Experience:HR, or mechanical engineering preferred.Proven experience in a yard management or similar role, with a strong understanding of yard operations.Licenses and Certifications:Valid HR license.Mechanical certification or equivalent experience in equipment maintenance and repair.Forklift Licence Skills:Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.Physical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and operate machinery safely.
