We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Yard & Maintenance Officer to join our team and help us maintain our facilities to the highest standard.
Job Summary:As a Yard & Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for our clients, team members, and visitors. This position requires a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the organisation's properties, grounds, and equipment.Oversee the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including landscaping and gardening.Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.Assist with setting up and organising spaces for events or activities as required.Attend employee meetings, employee training and other meetings as requested.Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, or a related field (within the community services industry is desirable).Relevant certifications in horticulture, landscaping or building maintenance is desirable.Ability to perform physical tasks and handle equipment safely.Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair techniques.High level of work ethics and professionalism with the ability to meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening.Drivers Licence.Why Join Us?
