About the opportunity The Wound Nurse will work as part of the broader Residential Services team and report to the Residential Services Manager.
This is a part time position working 4 days per week.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assessment of wounds and development of wound management plans Accurate and timely completion of wound reviews Liaising with key stakeholders including GPs and Wound Specialists Managing wound dressing requirements and stock ordering Provision of support, direction, and education to Clinical and Enrolled Nurses and other support staff Promotion of wound prevention and wound healing through the utilisation of clinical knowledge and experience About you You will have the skills, knowledge and abilities to efficiently and accurately deliver clinical support, guidance and care as required in collaboration with the resident, their families and other health professionals.
Essential criteria include: You must be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration Significant prior experience managing various types of wounds Demonstrated ability to independently undertake advanced wound assessment utilising advanced skills and knowledge Sufficient IT skills including use of software and Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
