About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Workshop Trainee to join our team and assist with maintaining and repairing equipment in both a workshop and a farm environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and develop hands-on skills while working towards a formal qualification.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the fabrication process, including measuring, assembling materials and ensuring all work complies with project specifications. Maintaining accurate records of work orders, maintenance tasks and other relevant forms. Assisting with maintenance activities including: Delivering prompt, cost-effective breakdown repairs and maintenance services for farm machinery and equipment. Ensuring proper upkeep of company assets and coordinating timely replacements as needed. Conducting routine maintenance on plant and machinery to ensure optimal performance. Learning and applying basic workshop skills, including the use of tools, machinery and equipment. Requirements
To be successful for this position, you will have:

A valid C class drivers' licence. Enthusiasm and a willingness to obtain a Certificate III or higher in an Engineering trade (mechanical and/or metal fabrication). A safety-first mindset and the ability to follow instructions. A strong work ethic. Benefits
The successful candidate will be classified as a level one or two employee under the Miscellaneous Award (based on the relevant Award criteria). Depending on previous experience and skills, a base hourly rate that exceeds the award rate may be offered to the successful candidate.
