Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of Underground Mobile Equipment, including Loaders, Driftrunners, PJB Minecruisers, Continuous Miners, Graders, Shuttle Cars, Feeder Breakers, Power Generators, and Ancillary Equipment. Your duties will include servicing, component replacement, component overhaul, general repairs, and reconditioning works.
 
Key Responsibilities Carry out repairs and maintenance on all underground heavy vehicles, mobile equipment and fixed plant, in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems as they occur and assist in the documentation and improvement of. Support and embrace a preventative maintenance system. Carry out service work as specified and advise on potential improvements. Complete all work orders accurately and provide all necessary or requested service details. Effectiveness in diagnosing problems (e.g. electrical faults) in a timely and effective manner Demonstrate an understanding of the standards, guidelines, design registrations, technical bulletins and plant safety files relevant to the AS/NZS 3584 Overhaul of ExDES equipment. Be responsible for the overall AS/NZS 3584 ExDES Overhaul Process. Verify and endorse reports generated by the RSF (Recognised Service Facility) Requirements of the Role: Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Engineering or Mobile Plant Mechanic Drivers License RIIDES Units of Competency (AS/NZS3584.3) Competency in forklift operation (desirable) Dogman certificate preferred (Desirable) Benefits of Working for Bis:

Our Diesel and Electrical Services Division offer complete equipment overhauls, scheduled servicing and machine repairs using the workshop base, and field service crews equipped to operate autonomously at the site of the customer.
