Weatherford Roma is seeking a Workshop Technician to join our cementation team.
You'll be responsible for inspecting, testing, and assembling critical well completion components including pup joints, casing packers, stage tools, float collars, cementing darts, and centralizers.
The role includes leading other technicians and performing equipment maintenance as required.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct receiving inspections and perform visual/dimensional checks on new equipment.Carry out assembly operations using bucking units and torque machines.Lead work planning and coordinate equipment deliveries to meet customer requirements.Perform equipment washing and preparation in the wash bay.Complete QA/QC documentation and process equipment sales.Maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.Conduct testing and calibration of facility equipment.Ensure proper use and maintenance of precision measuring instruments.Process work orders, maintenance requests, and maintain accurate records.Support LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement programs.Order parts and supplies according to company procedures.Job RequirementsRequired2-5 years experience in Oil & Gas industry.Understanding of cementation equipment and well construction processes.Experience working with mechanical equipment and tools.Basic mathematics and mechanics knowledge.Strong mechanical aptitude.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Good communication and documentation abilities.Time management and organizational skills.Quality control and attention to detail.Physical capability to perform required tasks.Ability to work safely with tools and machinery.Understanding of assembly and repair processes.PreferredDogman's ticket.Experience with hazardous materials.Knowledge of NDT, NDE and ATEX principles.Based in Roma, Queensland.Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4pm with some overtime required.Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation if required.About Us - WeatherfordWeatherford is a leading global energy services company.
