The Inventory Supervisor is an important role within our DC's, supervising all areas of the inventory operations to ensure timely processing in the system of all information relating to DC stock (including stock movements and deliveries).
You will be responsible for all inbound transport enquiries, managing the accuracy of the timeslot allocation process, resolving any scheduling issues and escalate as required to the supply chain team.
In this role you will be a people leader with the ability to develop and motivate our inventory team and continue to drive our People First culture.
Day to Day you will:
Manage accurate appointment scheduling for inbound to ensure manageable workload and workspace for staff to operate and unload in a safe manner.
Manage the negative inventory report daily and review with Customer Service and Supply Chain team.
Ensure product slotting for new, promotional, phasing and existing stock is accurate and ready prior to items requiring picking.
Provide summary of damages, on hold and adjustment stock during the daily management meeting, working with the operations team to reduce damage and loss.
Oversee the inbound variance report daily and ensure variances are followed up within 24 hours and manage the returns process for damaged product with suppliers within 48 hours.
Ensure safety policies, procedures and programs are adhered to including all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and near misses reported.
Identify and regularly review and implement cost saving initiatives for the inventory team and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement within the workplace.
Ensure the physical stock on hand in the DC always aligns with JD Edwards and WMS systems.
Manage Short Shelf Life (SSL), rotation and inventory damage.
Supervise and mentor Inventory Officers to develop and maintain an engaged workforce through promoting our CARES values within daily operations.
About You:
Demonstrated inventory experience in a similar role ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Warehouse Management industries, including experience within multiple temperature zones within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operational environment.
Ability to connect and motivate a diverse team through inclusive people management principles.
Willingness to take initiative and drive results to ensure business KPIs are met and exceeded whilst upholding the highest levels of safety and customer service.
Ability to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity and think laterally to problem solve in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and food safety standards i.e.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and FSSC (Food Safety System Certification).
Experienced in analysing data with comprehensive numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Intermediate to advanced IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
