We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.JOB SUMMARY:The overall scope of the Workshop Technician position is to carry out service and repairs to customer and company owned Elevating Work Platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers in the workshop and in the field when requested.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.Evaluating performance of equipmentInspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specificationsInstalling, testing, servicing, repairing and modifying electronic, mechanical and hydraulic equipment and machines. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines, etcConducting pre delivery inspections and assessing machines to ensure they are in good working orderConduct repairs and maintenance of customer and JLG owned elevating work platforms and telehandlersAssist with the training and supervision of ApprenticesAbide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policiesMaintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensure all tools used are in good working orderResponsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by ANZ Standards and also by customer and/or site requirementsConduct three monthly and annual inspections of machines in accordance with JLG and ANZ industry standardsParticipate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talksGenerating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the teamGeneral ad-hoc duties as requiredMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in a similar role – experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageousAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbalProficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers and quantitiesAbility to work independently and as a team#J-18808-Ljbffr
