Workshop Technician **SUCCESSFULLY FILLED** Full Time Role offering Career Progression Our Client a global medical company with cutting edge products is seeking a Workshop Technician to work onsite in their Macquarie Park workshop - parking available!
The Role - as Workshop Technician you will be working autonomously supporting a small team of Field Service Engineers.
Your role is to provide the highest level of customer service by – performing acceptance testing, equipment evaluations, repairs, preventive maintenance, retrofits and upgrades on surgical equipment in a workshop environment.
Responsibilities • Testing new equipment, preventative maintenance routines, retrofits and updates as scheduled on evaluation (demonstration) / loan assets and assets • Test repaired instruments in all operating modes • Ensures a high level of communication with internal and external customers • Communicate with inhouse experts on equipment problems, for advice and guidance • Support spare parts management, including the timely return of strategic spare parts • Ensure all equipment is in good working order • Reporting and CRM system management - timely and accurate documentation on services performed • Adhere to and support GMP/QMS and any local regulation requirements • Accountable for expenses within budgeted guidelines • Achieve technical training certifications to meet requirements and scope of responsibilities - including ongoing product recertification Skills/Experience A background in biomedical would be great with lots of testing of new equipment!
• Certificate III (Electronics) or equivalent years of relevant electronic experience • Associate Diploma in Electronics field is preferred but not essential • +2 years of medical device related experience is preferred • Placement or internship in medical device field would be highly regarded Career Progression - this role could offer the right candidate the opportunity to move to a Field Service Engineer position as part of their career goals!
