JOB SUMMARY: The overall scope of the Workshop Technician position is to carry out service and repairs to customer and company owned Elevating Work Platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers in the workshop and in the field when requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Evaluating performance of equipment Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications Installing, testing, servicing, repairing and modifying electronic, mechanical and hydraulic equipment and machines. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines, etc Conducting pre delivery inspections and assessing machines to ensure they are in good working order Conduct repairs and maintenance of customer and JLG owned elevating work platforms and telehandlers Assist with the training and supervision of Apprentices Abide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensure all tools used are in good working order Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by ANZ Standards and also by customer and/or site requirements Conduct three monthly and annual inspections of machines in accordance with JLG and ANZ industry standards Participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team General ad-hoc duties as required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in a similar role – experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageous Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers and quantities Ability to work independently and as a team #J-18808-Ljbffr
