In this critical position, you will oversee the effective and safe completion of all rebuilds whilst upholding the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in machinery rebuilds along with strong leadership skills. You'll excel at managing multiple priorities, coordinating team workloads, and meeting rebuild deadlines while maintaining a safe, productive environment. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to handle competing work demands.Oversee daily workflows, resource allocation, and labor management to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.Lead major machine rebuilds, coordinate repairs and manage component change-outs.Maintain high standards in maintenance and rebuild practices, ensuring full compliance with company and industry safety regulations.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding machine performance, parts, quality of work, and safety issues.Manage the timely and cost-effective ordering of parts and consumables, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget requirements.Qualifications & experienceMechanical Trade Qualification (HD Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter) is essential - Australian recognizedProven leadership experience and exceptional interpersonal communication skillsExtensive experience in the overhauling, installation and fitting out of underground mechanical machineryDemonstrated experience working on Sandvik, Cat, Dana & Kessler equipmentComprehensive understanding of diagnosticsAbility to read and understand service manuals and schematicsHighly motivated, independent and technically minded individualAble to pass a Pre-employment MedicalFull Australian working rightsReady to Join the HDD Family?If you're ready to work with a team that values your skills, respects your hard work, and supports your development, we want to hear from you.
