The Role Workshop Supervisor - Mechanic - is the hands-on leader of our warehouse team, monitoring the performance of our mechanics and the maintenance and repair of our Neuron e-scooters e-bikes. The ideal candidate has built and led a team before and is highly motivated to make Neuron a resounding success, both locally and nationally. Reporting to the City Operations Associate, a Workshop Supervisor also ensures that our warehouse is operating efficiently, safely and in accordance with Neuron's standard operating procedures. The Primary KPIs for the Warehouse Operations relate to the productivity of the mechanics (RTG/hour) and inventory accuracy levels. This role may also have the opportunity to streamline warehouse and repair processes and spearhead the growth of Neuron by proactively contributing to other local or non-local launch initiatives.
What You'll Do: Develop and execute Neuron's Warehouse Management strategy.Service and repair e-scootersEnsure the Warehouse team performs quality control and basic maintenance on the e-scooters.Ensure the Warehouse team adheres to the Operations Standard Operating Procedures.Perform basic administrative tasks, such as shift scheduling, manpower deployment and inventory management/ planning for the warehouse and stocktakes.Train new e-scooter/ e-bike mechanics and conduct any refresher training as necessary.Swap batteries and perform on-site maintenance of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring our high quality control measures are met at all times.Responsible for the Warehouse team KPIsOther ad-hoc tasks as requiredRepresent Neuron as a positive brand ambassador. What You'll Need: Prior experience in warehouse operations would be advantageous, particularly in the mobility, transit or supply-chain space.Prior experience in stock planning and management.Prior mechanical experience with the ability to service and repair e-scooters, including comfort with lifting, carrying and manoeuvring 25-35kg as needed.A hands-on approach to leadership - our Workshop Supervisor will need to be comfortable "leading by example," working alongside our mechanics.A process-driven mentality, with experience defining best practice warehouse procedures.Flexible work schedule with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed, especially during new location launch periods.Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to multi-task and keep up with a dynamic, fast-paced start-up in a high-growth phase.A keen curiosity in shared mobility and a growth mindset.A suitable personal smart phone is required (generally an Apple or Android device from 2018 or newer)
