This position is tasked with delivering expert technical knowledge and services for underground drilling equipment, guiding and enhancing the technical skills of our team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle these specialized products.Your proactive approach to ensuring machine performance will assist our customers to improve their productivity and the success of their operations, further expanding our customer base in the area and the growth of the support team.
We will supply product training and the support of our dedicated products support personnel.Areas of responsibilityConduct oneself in accordance with our EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm to our people, the environment, our customers, and our suppliers.Provide internal technical assistance to resolve issues for our customers.Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment (Specifically, Load & Haul equipment).Mentor peers and upskill our workshop technical knowledge of underground drills.Lead major workshop scoped works and machine builds, providing a high level of technical diagnosis and repairs.Perform mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.Provide feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.Provide technical support to service personnel, offering high-level technical experience in complex technical issues.Provide relevant feedback to the Workshop Supervisor and stakeholders to enable improvements to the workshop and its capacity.Assist in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims for our local customers.Your profileOur team is looking for an experienced Workshop Specialist, with expertise in underground drilling operations.
Candidates should hold a Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate, or an equivalent qualification, and have at least 7 years of post-trade experience in the underground mining sector.
The role demands adaptability to remote work environments and varied cultural settings.Familiarity with Sandvik machinery relevant to our operations is crucial.
