BDS Mechanical Repairs has an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to join our large, privately owned and operated business. This position is to manage an already established workshop in Cloncurry with a hands-on approach and pro-active demeanour.
Managing the operation of the workshop, parts, contracts/clientele and overseeing a team of staff, you will possess strong financial and customer relationship management skills as well as providing leadership and driving a culture of success, profitability, sustainability and teamwork.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland, meaning we're never too far away. We are a privately owned business that looks after our staff and value a healthy work life balance.
About you:
Management experience essential Trade qualified Diesel fitter/Diesel mechanic/LV Mechanic preferred but not essential Experience with automotive workshops a bonus Strong communication skills Good people management skills Proven record for leading a successful team Ability to manage all aspects of the business effectively Ability to lead continuous improvement and WH&S Proficient in computer skills Ability to drive business growth, cultivate new opportunities Maintain positive customer relationships The Position:
Day to day running of a mechanical business Ability to deal with internal and external clients Willing to be hands on and not afraid to be on the tools Job planning including customer liaison Assist in opening and closing job cards Job tracking & reporting Management of staff performance Estimating and quoting Quality control and management Workshop safety management What's on offer:
