$120,000 – $130,000 ex super plus company car About the RoleOur client, a leading road freight organisation with extensive interstate operations, is seeking an experienced and skilled Workshop Manager to join their Brisbane team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of their fleet, and the successful candidate will oversee maintenance, servicing, and repairs of heavy vehicles while leading a dedicated workshop team.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring timely and effective maintenance and servicing of heavy vehicles to uphold safety and compliance standards.Lead and mentor a small team, including experienced tradespeople and apprentices, to drive productivity and skills development.Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance of a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles to minimize downtime.Coordinate parts, tools, and resources to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the workshop.Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and organised workspace.Qualifications and Experience:Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.Experience working with Cummins engines.Demonstrated experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and servicing, with a strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.Proven experience managing small teams, including mentoring, and developing apprentices.Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in safety and service quality.What's on Offer:Fully maintained company vehicle.An opportunity to work on a modern Australian built fleet.An opportunity to work with a leading freight organisation and play a key role in their operations.A dynamic and supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growth.If you are an experienced Workshop Manager with a diesel mechanic trade and a passion for leading teams, we would love to hear from you.Click "Apply Now" to submit your application with a covering letter outlining the reasons why you believe this role is for you.
