About the role:
As the Workshop Manager, you will coordinate and supervise all repair activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of services.
You will lead a team of technicians, manage workflow, and maintain high standards of customer service.
Additionally, you will be the primary point of contact for customers regarding repair quotes and cost estimates, working closely with estimators to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and quality control.
Manage and support a team of technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Ensure all repairs are completed to Paintsmart's quality standards and within timelines.
Provide customers with accurate quotes and estimates, liaising with estimators to assess damage and repair costs.
Communicate repair progress, costs, and estimated completion times to customers, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Maintain inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
Promote a safe working environment.
Liaise with insurance companies and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a workshop or service management role, ideally in the automotive industry.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Technical knowledge of automotive repairs and refinishing.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Experience in preparing and discussing repair quotes and estimates.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a workshop setting.
