Due to the continued growth of Pacific Gympie our high-volume and busy service department has a vacancy for a workshop foreman to join the team. This is a pivotal role in the service team leading our team of mechanics, technicians and apprentices with a focus on an excellent quality of workmanship, a profitable workshop and a great team environment.
As the Pacific Gympie Workshop Foreman you are part of the Pacific Gympie Dealership group with three dealership locations between Gympie and the Sunshine Coast and includes brands such as GWM, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Honda and Goodyear Autocare. We provide jobs to over 80 Sunshine Coast and Gympie locals and have a strong commitment towards providing a fun and happy workplace for our staff and an excellent experience for our customers.
As the Workshop Foreman, you will be working with our 6 strong brands giving you the opportunity for continued training and development. This role offers you to work in a busy workshop with 11 bays and modern equipment. Our technicians work with our Genuine Parts and Accessories and enjoy offsite manufacturer training. With 6 brands our goal is to create experts in each of our brands.
Reporting to our Service Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the timely workflow of vehicles through our workshop to contribute to a positive customer experience. Additionally, you will perform mechanical tests to diagnose, repair and service vehicles, whilst guiding the workshop team to produce high-quality work, be efficient and part of a positive team culture.
So, who are we looking for? Cert III or higher qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic A high level of mechanical knowledge and experience in the automotive industry. Experience in leading a team of workshop mechanics and technicians. Motivation to mentor our apprentices. Knowledge and operation of all relevant Workplace Health and Safety Regulations. A current Driver's Licence is mandatory. Excellent communication skills What will you be responsible for? Providing expert advice relating to the current mechanical condition of vehicles Control workshop quality, and processes and drive a culture of quality and compliance Adherence to the manufacturer's diagnostic protocols Ensure all warranty and manufacturer processes are carried out to comply with company and manufacturer guidelines Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with a variety of vehicles Provide technical guidance and support team members on complex repairs and maintenance tasks Providing face-to-face technical support to our customers.
