About the role Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this role works closely with the existing Foreman.
Overseeing a large workshop of talented technicians and enthusiastic apprentices, this role is responsible for managing the flow of daily work in an efficient and precise manner.
Duties & Responsibilities Maintain a productive working environment within the service workshop and in accordance with policy and proceduresAssist technicians with diagnosis of difficult repairsConduct quality control inspections and ensure that all service and repair work is performed to a standard that exceeds our customers' expectationsConduct regular toolbox meetings with Service Department staffMaintain positive relationships with clear lines of communication with other departmentsAssist the Service Manager in encouraging and implementing WHS standards and proceduresSkills & Experience Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician with required trade certificatePrevious supervision skills/experience preferredHigh level of problem-solving/diagnostic skillsCurrent HR licenceExcellent ability to impart acquired knowledge to both technicians and apprenticesThrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skillsAttention to detail with a customer and safety focusAt Hallam Truck Centre, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
