About UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityHitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join the team in the position of Workshop HD Fitter at our Forrestdale Branch. This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.You will also be responsible for:The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipmentConduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failurePreparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipmentEnsuring all work carried out is performed in a safe mannerCompletion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reportsMaintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standardsTo be successful in this role:You will have relevant Mobile Plant (or similar) trade qualificationsHave previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.Heavy Rigid drivers licence and High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regardedA safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principlesGood communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEMBenefitsWhat is in it for you?
