The purpose of the Facilities & Maintenance Manager is to oversee the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and improvement of our newly built state-of-the-art workshops, office, equipment and surrounding infrastructure. This is a partly hands-on role that requires both technical expertise as well as strong management and planning skills.
This role is required to develop, implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure up-time of critical production equipment and prolong the lifespan of assets. They are required to ensure all building systems and equipment are properly functioning. The Facilities & Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal part in creating a comfortable, productive and compliant work environment for all facility occupants.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Lead the cleaning and maintenance teams.
Organise, prioritise, and delegate tasks in order of importance.
Provide weekly written report and feedback status of jobs to the Director.
Supervise work to ensure it is carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with BRE standards.
Manage stock levels of consumable items and spares. Raise requisitions or source parts and materials as required.
Create and maintain schedule checklist for facility maintenance, equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Carry out regular and proactive audits of cleaning, maintenance and general housekeeping across the site ensuring all are in good order.
Engage with contractors and suppliers for additional services to be carried out for repairs, maintenance and cleaning.
Work with relevant departments to ensure proactive maintenance of critical production equipment, planning maintenance and prioritising repairs to minimise downtime.
About you:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a maintenance and/or cleaning supervisor or equivalent.
Currently Driver's License and own vehicle.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Ability to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach.
Desirable: Management or related field qualification and/or air conditioning license and experience (Electrical and Gas tickets).
