Job details Workshop Assistant $37.50 per hour Monday to Friday Local role in Mackay What you will be Doing The ideal candidate will have some prior mechanical knowledge, either in a work place or just by tinkering at home is sufficient!
In this role you will be responsible for the below: Check that the job photos are taken are per standard procedure.
You may be required to take these Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when ordering in required.
Ensure any reusable tubes/cores are kept in storage.
Ensure workshop and yard is tidy at all times.
Strip, service and reassemble Mesabi radiators.
Strip, service and reassemble Caterpillar radiators.
Service bolt-up radiators.
Service copper/brass radiators.
Service and clean charge air and oil coolers.
Basic workshop procedures including washing, warehousing, testing, sandblasting and painting.
Basic housekeeping duties such as cleaning, maintaining and tidying, the workshop, amenities, gardens and car park.
