Are you a proactive planner with experience in high-voltage infrastructure projects? We are recruiting for two Works Planning/Scheduling Officers to join a well-established team, supporting the smooth delivery of essential infrastructure and maintenance projects. This is a 6-month contract role with strong potential for extension or permanency and offers some flexibility to work from home.
The OpportunityIn these roles, you will manage end-to-end project scheduling and planning to ensure optimal resource allocation for critical maintenance, capital works, and refurbishment projects. Working closely with Works Control Managers and Team Leaders, you'll coordinate resources, prepare RFQs, and monitor project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met.
Key ResponsibilitiesResource Planning & Scheduling: Prepare RFQs, estimate resource needs, and develop schedules for maintenance, capital, and refurbishment projects.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain constructive working relationships across departments and with key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Safety Leadership: Monitor field staff safety and ensure compliance with safety policies, fatigue management, and other regulatory requirements.
Performance Management: Track project performance, adjusting resources and timelines as needed to ensure targets are met and communicate regular updates to leadership.
Team Support: Assist Section Leaders and Delivery Managers in recruiting and training field staff to maintain long-term capability for ongoing projects.

About YouQualifications:Queensland Electrical Work License – Electrical Fitter/Mechanic or Electrical Linesman
Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience:Strong background in a similar planning/scheduling role, ideally with experience in HV Substation, Secondary Systems, or Lines projects.
Proven ability to manage resources effectively, balancing cost, time, quality, and safety.
Competent with project management tools and systems for tracking, scheduling, and resource management.
Other Requirements:Must hold a valid driver's license.
Ability to travel as required within Queensland, including remote or regional project sites.
