$44.77 to $51.46 per hour plus salary packaging benefits About the Role Join the multidisciplinary Autism Assessment Team to engage in the evaluation process for children aged 1 to 18, referred by community pediatricians or Grampians Health in cases of diagnostic uncertainty.
We support families facing complex challenges or lacking access to community assessments.
Our expert team delivers thorough evaluations, education, second opinions, and consultations in autism spectrum disorders.
Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively with other clinical disciplines to provide high quality multi-disciplinary assessments.
Provide high quality reports and recommendations for children and young people who are assessed at the clinic.
Provide consultation to other clinicians, both within GMHWS and from other organisations as required.
Provide triage and intake of referrals and identifying children and young people ready for booking for ASD assessment.
Provide Speech Pathology specific assessments as required.
Skills & Experience Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Speech Pathology.
Certified Practising status with Speech Pathology Australia.
Preferred experience with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disorders, including knowledge of typical and atypical childhood development (health, wellbeing, emotional, and psychological factors).
Preferred experience in a multidisciplinary ASD assessment team, with the ability to conduct diagnostic assessments, provide feedback, and write detailed reports.
ADOS training preferred but can be provided.
