About the Role The Grampians Health Organisational Development team focuses on strengthening leadership capabilities, shaping culture, fostering a learning organisation, promoting organisational alignment, and supporting teams to achieve sustainable improvements.
An exciting opportunity exists within our regional campuses (Horsham, Stawell, Edenhope and Dimboola) for an additional workplace trainer to join the existing team.
The role would suit someone who thrives in a complex and constantly changing work environment, to provide support and advice to the dedicated non-clinical workforce.
A comprehensive orientation program with support provided by existing trainers will be provided.
The Workplace Trainer/Careers Advisor will provide essential training and assessment activities – including designing and developing learning programs; using training packages and accredited courses to meet employee needs; planning, organising and delivering group and individual-based learning; facilitating learning in the workplace; and creating, implementing and managing assessment activities and processes.
This role is required to deliver non-clinical training and assessment services across the Health Service.
The successful candidate will be required to teach competencies from training packages across Certificate II to a Diploma level in classifications covered by the Victorian Public Health Sector (Health & Allied Services, Managers & Administrative Officers) Single Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025 agreement.
This position will also provide advice to participants in relation to possible career pathways, and areas of potential future training and employment.
Qualifications & Experience Possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units: TAELLN411, and TAEASS502) (please attach copy of your qualification/s to application).
Previous experience in a similar training role with a knowledge of adult learning principles is highly desirable.
Relevant health care industry experience is preferred but not essential.
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated ability to design, coordinate, deliver and evaluate training programs in non-clinical competencies up to diploma level applying adult learning principals.
The ability to identify, plan and support the development of individuals skills and abilities so that they can fulfil current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively.
Demonstrated ability topresent ideas effectively to individuals or groups ; delivering presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience.
Identify and develop actions to improve existing conditions and processes; identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas, and implementing solutions.
Assist individuals to establish courses of action for themselves and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
Ability to deliver evening or weekend classes from time to time is preferred but not essential.
