OCTEC Limited is a not-for-profit community organisation and is Australia's largest not-for-profit Disability Employment Service Provider, delivering high quality employment, training, advocacy and youth services from more than 270 locations.
We are currently seeking a Career Consultant to join the team in our Warrnambool office - providing services in Warrnambool and outreaching to Portland.

No experience necessary, however a passion for helping people and a willingness to learn, adapt and think 'outside the box' are essential.

As a Career Consultant your job will entail:
Understanding and supporting clients who have barriers to employment e.g. mental and physical disabilities, to develop and achieve employment goals. Contacting potential employers to create and source employment opportunities for clients. Assisting clients to identify their skills, abilities and past transferrable experiences to obtain sustainable employment. Assisting clients to up-skill and seek pathways to employment by referring them to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services. Providing excellent customer service to clients, employers and stakeholders. Building rapport and lasting relationships with employers/stakeholders e.g. training services. Working with clients to monitor and manage their job searching efforts to meet mutual obligation requirements with Centrelink. Maintaining client records with a high level of accuracy and detail. Working within a team to achieve a common goal. What we are looking for in you:
Passionate about achieving sustainable outcomes for clients and employers/stakeholders/local communities. Excellent customer service skills. High level time management, critical thinking, attention to detail and administration skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment. Outstanding communication skills and positive attitude. What we can offer you:
