Thoughtworks Sydney is looking for its newest Workplace Operations & Experience Coordinator. This role sits within our global Workplace Operations & Experience function whilst also providing on-the-ground support for our Workplace IT function.
You will impact the day-to-day life of Thoughtworkers based in the Sydney Office and the wider South East Asia, Australia & NZ region by providing the support to ensure that the space runs smoothly from both a technical and operational standpoint and Thoughtworkers have what they need to deliver extraordinary impact from their devices and space.
This is a full-time 12-month contract in-office role with a requirement for flexibility to alter core working hours to support after-hours events (evenings and weekends) as required.
At the time of application, you must be an Australian/New Zealand Citizen or already hold Australian Permanent Residency.
Job Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to Thoughtworkers and external visitors to support them whilst using the space (technology, facilities, etc.).
Assist logistics regarding onboarding and offboarding of Thoughtworker devices (both internal and client).
Troubleshoot and fix building maintenance and technology issues (such as Zoom rooms, building maintenance issues, etc.).
Ensure appropriate supplies are available within the space to support current and planned usage (such as stationery, catering, etc.).
Provide first-level support to Thoughtworkers with processes such as travel booking, facilities use, collaboration tools, and device usage.
Record and maintain information in appropriate systems relating to health & safety, maintenance, sustainability, and asset management.
Execute on event management plans developed jointly with other team members for external events, meetups, or client workshops (being on site to support the setup, execution, and pack up of events).
Work with other Workplace Operations & Experience team members to deliver plans for regional projects across real estate and connection and engagement activities.
Job Qualifications
Technical Skills
Experience and exposure to the operations of running an office environment and events (in person and virtual).
Basic knowledge of device and SaaS technologies (MacOS & Apple devices; collaboration tools e.g., Zoom, Google Workspaces).
Willingness to learn workplace technologies (with support).
Professional Skills
Customer service mindset.
Ability to solve problems to deliver solutions with support.
Willing to learn new concepts and expand on their technical depth and share those learnings with the team.
Able to pick up ideas and concepts quickly and give them a try.
Flexible and collaborative.
