Responsibilities Develop strong collaborative relationships across all stakeholder groupsAct as the central point for all safety queries and concernsWork with operations to develop and implement health and safety initiativesWork with WHS Compliance Manager to deliver on objectives of the nominated safety system to meet operational safety requirementsDevelop tools within the safety system to support operational implementation of safety policies, procedures, and practicesResponsibility for training, communication, and implementation of new or updated initiatives within the safety systemManage on-site training compliance including document creation and control, training design and delivery, organising competency assessments, coordination of safety related external training and maintaining the training databaseCoach and mentor Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs)Facilitate workplace risk assessments and the preparation of Standard Operating ProceduresImplement WHS policies and procedures and play a role in reviewing and improving current WHS policies and proceduresProvide guidance to operations on coordinating contractor managementIdentify workplace hazards and implement controlsPrepare reports as necessaryConduct safety investigations and prepare reportsTo be successful in this role you will need 5 years' experience in a similar roleStrong communication skills with various stakeholders including management, employees, and contractorsTertiary qualifications in WHS, or relevant experienceCertified Return-To-Work Coordinator or willingness to obtainDrivers LicenceStrong attention to detailSound knowledge and understanding WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practiceBe flexible, adaptable, and diplomaticPrior experience using safety systems such as WHS MonitorPrior experience in agriculture or a food processing environmentTAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentQualification inWork at HeightsEWP operationForklift operationConfined Space Entry and RescueAbout us At Stahmann Webster, we pride ourselves on being farm-to-table producers of world-class pecans, walnuts, macadamias, and almonds.
