Full time/Part-time (4 days/week) permanent role available in Brisbane
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Workplace Engagement Consultant to join the Suncorp Employee Council (EC) team. The EC team operates independently within the Suncorp People & Culture team (HR) and specialises in providing free and confidential workplace relations advice and support, exclusively to Suncorp staff. The successful candidate will support the EC team by assisting in the delivery of EC workplace education and engagement initiatives, to help promote the EC services that assist in creating a positive workplace culture. You will be deeply involved in designing and delivering presentations, engaging both leaders and employees. You will also assist the EC team in responding to employee workplace concerns and in educating and empowering employees to help promote a positive employee workplace culture at Suncorp on behalf of the EC.
What you'll do
Serve as the primary point of contact for all EC-related enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate relay of messages and cases to the team while maintaining strict confidentiality of case information
Manage a broad range of office administration duties, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, handling accounts payable, and maintaining office supplies and equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment
Provide dedicated administrative support to the ECIC and EHP committees, ensuring seamless coordination of meetings, accurate preparation of minutes, and timely processing of applications and feedback
Assist in the creation and delivery of engaging IR/HR learning materials and workshops, proactively identifying learning opportunities and supporting the implementation of workplace relations improvements
Lead communication efforts to promote EC services across Suncorp, including the planning and distribution of newsletters and other internal communications, as well as conducting New Starter inductions to integrate new employees into the workplace
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the EC office, enhancing the effectiveness of administrative processes and contributing to the overall success of the team
What you'll bring
5+ years in an Executive Assistant/Management Assistant type position within a corporate environment
2-3 years' experience in a generalist HR role
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end learning, education, engagement projects and initiatives
Demonstrated experience in designing and marketing learning/educational IR/HR focussed material and presentations
Demonstrated experience in presenting to large audiences virtually and in-person.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
The ability to manage conflicting priorities in a timely, efficient risk-aware manner
