Workforce & Injury Management Advisor

Our client is a leading specialist manufacturer of high-quality packaging products that service various industries across ANZ.

They operate multiple manufacturing and distribution sites around Australia and New Zealand and are a successful, longstanding organisation that prides itself on strong workplace health and safety initiatives for its 600 employees.

This role will be integral in efficiently managing Workcover and injury management across the business, coaching and mentoring teams, and working strategically to develop process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:Workcover: End to end management of claims across ANZ, ensuring all files are maintained as per legislative requirements.Injury Management: Support and collaborate with injured employees, managers, insurers and health practitioners.Return to Work: Work with managers to develop appropriate return to work programs and provide oversight and ongoing support.Fitness for Work: Monitor pre-employment medical & functional screenings providing advice to management on recruitment decisions.Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Group WHSE Manager to drive process and policy improvements.Key Competencies:Minimum 5 years experience working in a senior role in the personal injury industry.Relevant tertiary qualifications in allied health, injury management or other related field.Extensive experience in managing complex workers' compensation claims and associated costs.Strong attention to detail and work efficiency in a fast paced environment.Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building qualities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of legislation and all provisions across (Workcover, rehab, OHS, Fairwork).This is an excellent opportunity to bring your passion for workplace safety and injury prevention, take ownership, and make a difference across a national and Trans-Tasman workforce.

This is a full time permanent role based in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Located in the company headquarters will provide great exposure to senior leaders, mentoring and growth opportunities. Some interstate travel is involved upon commencement.
